Squawk

Part 1: Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 2026

1. Overview

Squawk ("the App") prioritizes your privacy. We do not collect, sell, or store your personal data on our servers.

2. Data Storage

All flight data, images, and logbook entries entered into Squawk are stored locally on your device and synchronized directly to your personal Apple iCloud account ("CloudKit"). The developers of Squawk do not have access to your iCloud data.

3. Location Data

Squawk uses your device’s location services solely to calculate night flight times and display flight paths on the globe. This location data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to any third-party analytics services.

4. Analytics

The App does not use third-party tracking (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel). Apple may collect anonymous crash data if you have opted-in to "Share iPhone Analytics" in your iOS settings.

5. Contact

For privacy questions, contact: support@monolithik.com

Part 2: Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using Squawk, you agree to these terms.

2. Use License

Squawk grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App for logging flight time.

3. Accuracy of Data

While Squawk utilizes advanced algorithms for night calculation and compliance checking, the Pilot in Command (PIC) remains solely responsible for the accuracy of their logbook. You must verify all automated calculations before certifying your flight times for FAA/EASA applications. Squawk is not liable for rejected checkrides or certification issues resulting from data entry errors.

4. Data Loss

Squawk relies on Apple’s iCloud for data backup. We are not responsible for data loss caused by iCloud outages, user deletion, or device failure. We recommend periodically exporting your logbook to CSV as a secondary backup.

5. Updates

We may update the App to add features or fix bugs. We are not obligated to support older versions of iOS indefinitely.
